Trade Show Recap: CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020
This year’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG trade show was threatened by the impending COVID-19 pandemic. However, attendance was not affected. The expo brought industry titans Caterpillar, Komatsu, Kobellco, Case Construction and John Deere to the Las Vegas Convention Center in mid March. Every three years these companies come together to showcase the latest marketable trends in construction equipment, technologies and services. This year, the Las Vegas Convention Center welcomed just over 2,000 exhibitors and over 130,000 attendees. The CONEXPO-CON/AGG trade show continues to be the largest construction expo in North America, covering over 2.7 million net square feet of exhibit space to host their large crowds and displays.
Caterpillar Recap Video
Key Lime Photography was privileged to be called as a trade show recap videographer for the Caterpillar Foundation Community Builder Experience. The videography above features highlights from the trade show experience. Community Builder places attendees in real-life scenarios. Then, they are asked to react and respond to crisis situations. Upon completion of the experience, Caterpillar makes a donation to a community-building non-profit. Attendees are also informed of which type of builder they would likely be, similar to a personality quiz. Being a Las Vegas cinematographer who sees conventions throughout the year, believe me, this is one you don’t want to overlook. For those of you who missed the show this year, you can always look forward to their next exposition that they have already scheduled for March 14-18th of 2023 in Las Vegas. Mark your calendars.
Video is a Powerful Marketing Tool
In a matter of seconds, video conveys intricate concepts, ideas and emotions. Trade show recap videos and photography serve as excellent marketing tools. They can be shared on social media as easily digestible stories. Additionally, they can be displayed on a blog or webpage to highlight the efforts that have been made. Recap videography can also be shared with media outlets as editorial b-roll. A trade show recap videographer covering a single event, has the potential to yield a dozen final products. This is why it is so important to record events and experiences. Many people contribute their time and talent to execute an engaging trade show booth experience. Hiring a cinematographer ensures those contributors’ work is preserved for future reference and for securing future sales.
